I Want One of Those Kitchen Gadgets
My first kitchen gadget was an the Apple Peeler/Corer Machine. I was invited to a Pampered Chef Party and the representative demonstrated how to make an apple tart using the apple-corer-slicer gadget. That was it…I fell in love immediately and purchased three (I planned to give two of them as gifts to fellow gadget queens and princesses).
The Apple Peeler/Corer Machine still remains my favorite gadget to this day. This year on Father’s Day, my daughter (who hates gadgets) was trying to get one of us to peel some apples for her famous apple crumb pie recipe. None of the fathers volunteered; so I pulled out the Apple Peeler/Corer Machine
and peeled 8 apples in less than 10 minutes (and that was with my two-year old granddaughter helping a bit).
Now, my daughter insists on keeping my most treasured gadget. I guess I’m going to have to get my daughter an Apple Peeler/Corer Machine of her very own.
